Get some questions from:
Conversation Questions for the ESL/EFL Classroom

Write some of them on the board and ask students to talk to each others as follows:
Find someone who...
..has already finished his/her Christmas shopping?
etc.
After a given amount of time, have the students tell the rest of the class who they found.
